Dear Members,
Indoors at last!
CLUB NEWS
OUTDOOR CLUB EQUIPMENT
It may seem strange to be talking about this subject now that we are back indoors but what I want to report now came too late for the last month’s issue. In addition it only applies to those of you who shoot outdoors.
I noticed when I was in our outside store on the second last outdoor Club night that the metal poles used for the barricade tape had not been returned to the blue cabinet where they should be stored. You will be aware that we have barely enough poles for our needs. Why is this?
Simple, because some of them had been stolen. How do we solve this problem? As mentioned we have a cabinet exactly for this purpose and believe it or not it even has a padlock! SO USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
To add insult to injury I also noticed that our two older arrow finders had been left on top of the bosses. Again, they should be locked away in one of the red cabinets and not left lying around so all and sundry can “half-inch“ them. If any equipment is lost due to your carelessness/laziness then I will advise the treasurer that they should not be replaced.
Try finding your lost arrows then! Remember, we are not the only people who use the store.
NEW START TIME FOR INDOOR SATURDAY SESSIONS
No! This is not a typing error! Due to staffing problems the Sports Centre has advised me that from Saturday the 29th of October our afternoon sessions will change to a new time slot of 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
AFFILIATION FEES FOR 2011/2012
A final reminder that all fees must be in by Wednesday the 28th of this month.
CLUB NOTICE BOARD
As you should all know most of our indoor sessions will be in a half-hall and you all know how to get into our half. This means you will bypass the notice-board. However, please make the effort to check the notice – board as it is more important than ever as I will not be making any verbal announcements as it is unlikely I will attend on Saturday afternoons only on Wednesdays evenings. I have brought this matter to your attention as certain members are asking me stupid questions simply because they are not reading the Club newsletter on the website which they have elected to do. If you can’t be bothered to do this then don’t come bleating to me if you have not been advised of something. I do spend quite a bit of my own time preparing the newsletter. As a consequence of this I will be making a decision next year on the future of the newsletter prior to us reaching issue No.200. You have been warned!
CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING
All brethren are respectfully requested to attend the next meeting on Thursday the 6th of October at 7.30pm. Adelle, if possible, a tray-bake would be appreciated.
