By the time you receive this edition the closing date for the 2010/2011 fees will have passed.
As I said last month those of you who have not renewed your fees will now have to apply to become a direct member of GNAS especially if you did not renew your Club fees back in April. Non-payment also means that you will not be allowed to shoot at Lasswade or any other Club for that matter.
OPTIONAL COACHING SESSIONS
Both Billy and Richard have said that they will carry on with their coaching sessions during the indoor session.
As they have done in previous years the sessions will last about an hour and will be held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month subject to one or both of them being available.
These sessions are open to any member and the 2 targets nearest the R/H/S fire doors will be used for COACHING ONLY. However, if they are not being used for this purpose then normal use will be permitted.
ARCHERY WORLD CUP “ COME AND TRY SESSIONS” – 18TH AND 19TH OF SEPTEMBER 2010 – FINAL REPORT.
Our 2 sessions on the Saturday went well and I have recently heard that FITA were pleased how well the main event was run as well.
The takings for the 8 sessions has been added up and 6 of the 7 clubs who ran a session have earned £250.00 each. Our share will be £500.00 as we ran the spare session as well.
It just remains to thank the following members for their efforts on the day.
Ann who took the fees from the public, Adelle who assisted and fitted everyone with an arm bracer and to Joan, Billy , David R and Phil. In addition thanks to Derek who also assisted with some of the younger participants.
LASSWADE COMBINED FITA (UKRS) – 17TH OCTOBER 2010
The details for this shoot and our Portsmouth Round in November are now on the notice-board. As you will be aware if you want to enter these shoots you can do your own entry or see Adelle who is your point of contact if you want to be entered by this route.
Please remember that the Combined Fita involves shooting 5 dozen arrows at 25m(60cm face) in the morning and 5 dozen arrows at 18m(40cm face) in the afternoon. Do not enter this shoot unless you can commit to both sessions as there will only be 44 spaces available.
In addition it would be appreciated if you could provide a donation for the raffle.
Until the day of the shoot on Saturday nights the shooting-line will be brought back to allow for anyone to get a 25m sight mark for this tournament in addition on the weekend of a tournament the trampoline equipment will be removed so that we can get set up for the shoot.
Those of you who have been with us for some time will know that on the Saturday night prior to a shoot the Club session will finish at 8.30pm to allow us time to get the range set up for the Sunday. As this is a Lasswade shoot I hope most of you will remain to help in this task and assist in getting things put away after the shoot on the Sunday regardless if you are shooting or not.
