         Welcome to a post re-affiliation issue of your much loved newsletter!

CLUB NEWS

By now all of you will have received your new GNAS card stickers for 2007/08.

If you have not already done so then make sure you have put them onto your GNAS cards. If, for any reason, you lose your card then please let me know immediately. While it is not life a threatening occurrence you will need to have your card to enter tournaments or shoot at any other clubs.

I can easily arrange to get you a new card but bear in mind there is a charge of £3 not including any admin charges for postage etc. Please also remember that if you are attending a tournament (Lasswade tournaments as well) have your card ready for checking at the registration table, not lost within the hidden depths of your tackle-box!

THE COMMITTEE POST OF CLUB TREASURER

At last month’s meeting of the Club committee our current treasurer Frank Harrison announced that due to work commitments he is now no longer able to devote the time to the post. This means that by the end of November at the AGM we will need someone to come forward to fill the post. Naturally, if we get no volunteers then the Club may have to shut-down as it cannot function without a treasurer

CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING

All members are requested to attend the next meeting on Thursday 25^th October at 7.30pm.

CLUB FEES

A reminder to those of you who pay your Club fees by instalments through your bank by standing order etc. is to cancel any of these arrangements if you leave the Club. As the Club itself cannot cancel your standing order etc. then the Club cannot be liable for any payments you may still be making regardless if you have left us.

LASSWADE - OPEN COMBINED FITA. 21-10-07

LASSWADE OPEN PORTSMOUTH 11-11-07

It would be appreciated if as many members as possible could donate some items for the raffles for the above tournaments.

The Combined FITA shoot was quickly filled by the start of last month and any entries for the Portsmouth round done through me will have been passed to the tournament organiser by the time you have received this newsletter .If you still want to enter our Portsmouth shoot then see Tina. If the shoot is full then you will be put on a waiting list and you may have to pay £1.50 in addition to the normal entry fee.

NOVEMBER

Sunday 11^th                   Lasswade Open Portsmouth(BRS)

Saturday 24^th                         NO archery.

Wednesday 28th             Lasswade AC / AGM  at 7.30pm.

                                       NO archery that night.

DECEMBER

Saturday 1^st                     New beginners class starts.

Wednesday 26^th              NO archery .  Public Holiday.
