All members are duly notified that the above meeting will take place in ROOM B4 of the High School at 7.30pm. If any of you have any business you wish to be debated then this must be made in writing to Adelle by NO LATER than 7 days before the meeting or in person at the meeting itself.
Two things for you to remember. Under Article 23c of the Club Constitution only those members who attend the AGM are eligible to vote and under Article 23d the Club President shall, if required, be entitled to one additional casting vote in the event of any tied vote or votes.
Finally, under the current system, the following posts are due for re-election this year:
VICE-PRESIDENT , RECORDS OFFICER and the JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE.
All the posts are for a 3 year term to run until November 2013.
ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS
The usual seasonal reminder to you all that in the event of snow or other seasonal conditions there may be occasions when the Sports Centre may have to close.
If this situation arises then you should contact the Sports Centre in the first instance as they will have the most up to date information. If you do not get a reply then it is likely the Centre is closed. You can also check for any closures on the Midlothian Council website.
You will have all the relevant contacts in your New Members Information Pack.
NEW MEMBERS
Our latest beginners’ class finished at the end of October and of the 7 pupils who attended all 7 have signed the pledge and have joined our merry band!
So a warm welcome to the following: -
John Barnes, John Boyle, Gary Dunn and Bill Witherspoon plus 3 juniors, Rachael Dunn, Caitlin Gillis and Deklyn Docherty.
This means we now have 3 Johns in the Club. So, to avoid any confusion, they will be known as John BR and John BY. The other John remains as John R although we only see him once a year when he renews his fees!
