Dear Members,
Welcome to a
slightly later issue of your favourite
newsletter.
CLUB NEWS
CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to
Derek who at last month’s GNAS AGM was made an
Honorary Life Member of GNAS for his devoted
service to the sport over the last 30 years or
so. There are never any more than 12 Honorary
Life Members at any one time so this is quite an
achievement. In addition Derek is the first Scot
to be honoured in this way.
Those of you who
attended one of our last indoor sessions will
have had the opportunity to see the framed
diploma, which he was presented with by GNAS. If
you have not seen it then you can see Derek on
the Club and SAA web- sites.
Those of you who
are very observant may notice that there is
something wrong with his jacket. If you can spot
the problem put your answer on a postcard send
to the usual address. The first correct entry
drawn from the hat on the 31st June
will win an all expenses night out on the town
with Derek, paid for by the Club Treasurer,
Joan!
AFFILIATION FEES UP-DATE.
Now that the AGM
season is over I can now advise you that the

OUTSIDE STORE KEYS.
During the outdoor
season if no key holders are present then you
can get keys from the reception desk in the
Sports Centre. Normally you will only need two
keys, one for the double gate and one for the
store-door itself. Remember to return them to
reception before you leave.

AND FINALLY
This month’s item,
a repeat from 2002,is a cheery Limerick with a
riparian theme to it!
There was a wee
man who sat on a pan,
The pan was to wee
,he sat on the sea,
The sea was to
wide, he sat on the Clyde,
And all the wee
fishes ran up his !!!??!
P.S. I expect some
of you will be leafing through your dictionary
looking for the definition of riparian! If you
find the answer then you can enter the second
competition this month. Put your answer on a
postcard marked “My Other Bow Is A Compound” to
arrive no later than 1st April 2008 .
The winner will receive a signed copy of “How To
Be A Successful Archer” by Russell Aitken

So ends the
hilarity for this month!
