CLUB NEWS

NEW CLUB WEB-SITE

 I know some of you technophiles out there have been wetting your pants wanting to know when the Club's Website will be up and running. Well, good news, the new website is now up and running and thanks to Frank for all his efforts in achieving this. Jack will continue as our Club Webmaster. The new web address is :-  www.lasswadearcheryclub.co.uk

As happened on our previous web-site each edition of “The Arrowhead” will appear on the new website, so many of you will be able to read each edition there.

This will also save the Club money on paper, ink cartridges and David R,s personal time. However, as some of you may still want to receive a paper copy you will find attached to this newsletter a form (form 1).This must be returned to me by Wednesday 16^th August. If any of you do not return the form by the closing date then I will assume you will read the website version .P.S. As an alternative you can phone me or speak to me in person with your answer.

TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS 

It has become clear to me that it appears to be a waste of your time and my time informing you of up-coming tournaments as the response seems to be almost zero every time. I now suggest that you visit the S.A.A. Website to check for any shoots you may wish to enter. If you do not have access then find somebody who can download entry forms for you. I will however keep you informed of events taking place at Lasswade.

OUTDOOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

 As was mentioned in our last newsletter our Outdoor Club Championships will take place on Sunday 20^th August.

The details are as follows:-

Round to be shot ------- American

Distances to be shot---- 60, 50, 40 yards

Arrows to be shot ------ 21/2 doz. At each

                                           Distance

Scoring (5 zone ) ------- Gold 9, Red 7,

                                       Blue 5, Black 3,

                                       White 1

Target Face       ----- 122 cm at all distances.

Maximum score  -------  810. 

If you are going to shoot the round then please be at the field by 11am. The shoot will start as soon as the range has been set up.

Any members who arrive late will be allowed to shoot but they not be allowed to make up for any arrows or ends missed.

 So that I can have some idea of how many of you will be shooting you will find a second form (form 2) attached to this newsletter.

It must be returned to me no later than Wednesday 9^th August .If it is not returned by this date I will assume you are not shooting the round.

 CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING 

All committee and non committee members are invited to attend

the next meeting on Thursday 31^st August at 7.30pm.
